current role as an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher, Sonya brings a unique perspective to the realm of education. She
passionately serves multilingual students from diverse countries, fostering inclusivity and understanding in the classroom. Her passion for
empowering the next generation drives her to continuously learn and seek innovative ways to support and uplift learners of all backgrounds.

As a former international podcast host of her own platform, "Made 2 Shine" Inspirational Broadcast, she shared her insights, inspiring
countless listeners around the world. Her show was featured via the LIFTED Authors Radio Network USA/World and the Finding My Way
Radio Networks USA/World, amplifying her reach and impact.

An Alabama native, she holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree from the esteemed Alabama State University, an
institution rich in heritage and history as a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc.

Sonya is married with two adult children.
